Four Sections:

Open Open Minimum Rating: 1700
Major Under 1800 Minimum Rating: 1400
Inter Under 1500 Minimum Rating: 1100
Minor Under 1200 Minimum Rating: None

 

(1) ECF Rapidplay Rating (November 2026) -- A or K categories only

 

(2) ECF Standard Rating (November 2026) -- A or K categories only

 

For players without a rating, section eligibility and the rating allocated for pairings will be determined by the Organiser on a case-by-case basis.

Entries are limited to 150 players

Limited seating will be available between rounds

There will be seven rounds and play will commence at 10:30am. Each player has 15 minutes + 10 seconds per move.

Entry fee: £20

Prize money:

 Open: 1st £200, 2nd £100, 3rd: £50; Performance Prize £25

Other sections: 1st £120, 2nd £60, 3rd: £30.
